About this event

Meeting at 10.30am in the carpark at Bluebell Lane, situated in the Ring of Gullion, I'll take you on a short walk through the woodlands to visit the Celtic Iron Age Roundhouse and the Sailleagh Garden, where we grow and harvest organic willow. We'll finish up at Bluebell Lane's indoor creative space, a bespoke-built timber roundhouse alongside the biodiversity pond area. Waiting for us will be a roaring log fire, tea, coffee, and something homemade and delicious to eat. Then the weaving begins... each month we make a different small project for your home or to give as a special gift. Scroll down for images. You'll finish the day relaxed, with new friends and with a hand-crafted original piece to remember the experience. No better way to spend a Sunday morning.

Important things to note:

  • Please wear suitable clothing and shoes for the woodland walk - and the Irish weather!
  • All projects are suited to beginner adults and accompanied teenagers over 14yrs
  • Free car parking and all amenities on-site
  • Download all directions and information before leaving home as phone network and 4G are poor within Ring of Gullion. You won't be able to contact me on the morning
  • Email me on jeanette.keenan@hotmail.co.uk for further information if needed.

Thank you for joining the group effort to provide plastic-free products for our homes and lives
