About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

An intergenerational storytelling workshop where older adults share their memories of childhood using the prompt “When I was your age, I _____” and young people are asked what they think their life will be like, 60 years from now.

Pairing an older person and a child aged 8-12, participants will be guided by theatre maker Noelle Ní Ríagáin as they share their stories, memories and hopes for the future.

Come with your grandparent/grandchild, with a friend, neighbour or relative. If you don’t have a younger or older person to bring, we’ll match you with one on the day.

Join us for this living experiment in creating connection, where stories become the alchemical elixir that binds generations and propels them toward a collective future.

We’ll have coffee, tea and juice - and participants are encouraged to bring home baking or snacks to share.

This event takes place at the Seed Pavilion, adjacent to the Glenbower Wood playground. In case of inclement weather, this event will be held at Greywood Arts. If the location changes, you will be notified by email via eventbrite.
