The THC Consult team is looking forward to working with the primary sector on our online EPV Course for Summer 2024

In pioneering Organisational Psychology in its application to the education sector, we seek to achieve the following aims:

• To connect the personal, professional and organisational, emphasizing ‘self’ mastery as the launchpad for heightened self awareness/ organizational awareness.

• To examine Self, Vision & Purpose, Soft Skills - Communication & Relationship Building, Leadership, Culture & Change across Personal, Professional and Organisational lenses.

• To couch DES strategies and frameworks as ‘roadmaps’ towards whole school success drawing on LAOS, SSE, Cosán, Safe Use of Technology as Professionals.

• To incorporate development of ‘soft skills’ in teaching students entering an AI enveloped world.

• To introduce journalling as an anchor for ongoing self-assessment, self-reflection and EQ building.

• To introduce ITC Mapping as a reflective tool, re-framing ‘Change Orientation’ as an individual responsibility, shaping organisational readiness.

• To encourage teachers, T/Principals & Admin Principals to embrace ‘Web Wise’ approaches to school-wide IT usage

Course Content:

Module 1: Synchronous

Journey to Self

Journey to ‘Self’ Self-Compassion Self Awareness Organisational Awareness Self Assessment Mini Care Plan Introduction to 5 Core Energies Vision, Mission Values, Purpose – how the personal impacts professional and organizational understanding, anchoring and application of same.

Module 2: Synchronous

Change Orientation and links with Personality & Mindset

Introduction to Immunity to Change (ITC) Mapping

Introduction to the Big 5 Personality Traits (Costa & McCrae) O C E A N Linking ‘O’ – Openness to Experience – to Mindset Change Orientation, Models of Org Change Personal/Professional Adversity to Change which impact the workplace Introduction to Immunity to Change Mapping (ITC) – best undertaken in dyads and holding possibilities for whole staff adaptation from September.

Module 3 – Asynchronous 

ITC Mapping (linking with Domain 3: Leading School Development and Domain 4: Manage, Lead & Mediate Change.

Powerpoint ‘Change and Immunity to Change Mapping’ with Voice Over, covering -Change, Change Models & the Immunity to Change Concept as presented by Lahey & Kegan. ITC Map ITC Roadmap Exemplar for Completion.

Module 4 – Synchronous

ICT Mapping Review and Feedback; Introduction to Soft Skills Essential for Success

’Key Soft Skills in 2024’ to be developed and honed over time and modelled to students whose future success lies in merging technical and soft skills. Communication, Leadership, Teamwork, Creativity, Adaptability , Problem-Solving, Work Ethic, Critical Thinking, Confilct Management, Emotional Intelligence 

Module 5 – Synchronous (2 hours)/ Asynchronous (2 hours)

Powerpoint Presentation, covering key attributes essential for Readiness to Lead’ and incorporating the soft skills ✓ Problem Solving, ✓ Coaching & Mentoring, ✓ Management and ✓ Strategic Thinking

Each skill will be discussed from the perspective of ❑ Teacher ❑ Assistant Principal ❑ Deputy Principal ❑ Principal

Other aligned soft skills will be unwrapped as essential to the success of leadership e.g. Communication Work Ethic
