Contribute to an evolving text installation by finding the descriptive and emotive words that are within the gallery space, and expand on these with your own writing. Work individually and collaboratively with the group to consider timing, placement of words and actions to form a series of quick scripted performances.Lisa Freeman’s multi-disciplinary performance practice employs intimacy as a form of resistance, revealing social anxieties along with difficult or forgotten histories of representation and precarity. Freeman recently showed a new site-specific performance, Slipped, Fell And Smacked My Face Off The Dance Floor with Mermaid Arts Centre, Bray (June 2022). She is supported by an Arts Council of Ireland Project Award (2022), Bursary Award (2022, 2020) and Kildare County Council (2016-21).﻿﻿This workshop for adults takes place as part of the Summer School, from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July, 11am -– 5pm.
