You are cordially invited to the launch of "Writers Garage" at the Generator Hostel on the 29th of August.

This exciting evening of talks and presentations relating to self-publishing and storytelling will feature an engaging mix of talents - the programme is still in progress - :

18.30 INTRO by the M.C. Janie Lazar - Gian and Janie's welcome! (5 min)
Janie Lazar will be MC'ing the event. Janie is the founder of muchmorethanwords.com, TEDx Speaker, Coaching Professional and Communications trainer. As she says " Everything begins with a conversation and context is everything. "

18.35 Comic artist Carolina Medina interpreting her comic strips live (35 min)
Carolina Medina is a Chilean Children's Book Illustrator and Artist, currently studying a PhD in Literature and living in Dublin. Carolina will be interpreting her exciting first comic book (Catalina and the Kingdom Of Godot) narrating the story while the strips are projected on the screen. Not to be missed!

19.10 Laurence O'Bryan "How To Develop a Reader Fan Base" (30 mins)
Laurence O'Bryan is the organiser of the amazing "Dublin Writers Conference" and the author of "The Istanbul Puzzle" the first book of his crime series. Laurence has developed a service called "Books Go Social" to promote books helping writers & publishing companies with their social media and digital marketing.
I am sure in this speech some secrets will be revealed.

Gian Tapinassi, Creator and Founder of "Writers' Garage", has previously co-founded Artdigiland Publishing, a publishing house of Cinema Books and in the last years has been passionating involved with startups'. Gian is also a Screen and Short Story Writer. Gian will show you how Writers Garage has come to be, which services are now available and the current plans for the future.

20.20 Readings by Natasha Elle Crudden, Ruairi Connelly, Phil Lynch and other poets and writers (25 mins)
- Natasha Helen Crudden has self-published a poetry book and CD entitled "Barbed-Wire Cage", a novel entitled "Empire Evolution", and EP Detonation Day, and will be launching her second poetry collection "Ctrl/Alt/Delete" in October.
- Ruairi Conneely Is a poet &a writer who has performed extensively around Dublin and Ireland for many years. His work has been published in The Pickled Body and FLARE, and he is a regular performer at Poetry Brothel Dublin.

- Phil Lynch’s poetry has appeared in various literary journals and anthologies. He is a regular performer at poetry and spoken word events in Ireland and beyond. His collection, In a Changing Light, (Salmon Poetry), was published in 2016.

20.45 Panel and Q&A (45 min)
To conclude, a Q&A with the speakers about their work and self-publishing experiences where you'll have the chance to ask questions and grasp what is more useful for you.

At the event, you'll learn some secrets on the ways you can effectively reach the right audience from a professional writer operating in the field as a writer and as a Marketer, like Laurence O'Bryan and we'll hear also other artists and writers that are starting now.

You'll experience an interesting and entertaining evening with performances, useful information about the opportunity to self-publish your writings and a great opportunity to network with other writers, illustrators, comic artists and creative minds.
