WW&W Technology Enhanced Learning Project Showcase

There is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to the effective use of new digital technologies for teaching and learning. The What Works & Why project aims to build digital literacy and engagement for students and teachers by exploring the question: “What works and why?”Funded by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning, the project partners of DCU, AIT, DkIT and Maynooth University will offer a range of workshops, technology exploration sessions, support for teaching groups and funding for TEL Innovation initiatives. Focusing on supporting innovative pedagogy through learning technologies in discipline specific contexts, the project team seeks to identify what What Works and Why.www.whatworksandwhy.ie@whatworkswhy

What Works & Why

The What Works & Why project has supported a number of innovative projects and teaching groups across DCU. This event showcases some of the exciting work that is happening with these initiatives. Each presenter will deliver a brief 'elevator pitch' of their project and you can expect to hear about headcams for teaching, in class polling, universal design for learning, peer assesment, MOOC learning design, Lego Mindstorms and more!
This is a unique opportunity to be inspired by the innovative use of technology to enhance learning across the campus.
