Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services
Established in 1879, Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services provides specialist care for a catchment of over one million people with a wide range of needs from residential and rehabilitation to end-of-life care. We have over 700 staff and 400 volunteers across our three bases in Harold’s Cross (est. 1879), Blackrock (est. 2003), and Wicklow (est. 2020), as well as in the community. Our three core services (Specialist Palliative Care, Rheumatic & Musculoskeletal Disease Service and Older Person Service) along with our bereavement and volunteer services, are supported by education and research, which form the foundation of quality healthcare.
Our mission is to provide high quality, person-centred health and social care services in the Hospice and community. To continue supporting patients, residents and their families at a most difficult time in their lives, we need to raise a minimum of €5.5 million every year. This funding helps us to continually improve the physical environment across our three sites and add elements that further support patient and family enhancements. In 2025, we raised over €6.5 million which supported us in providing:
• Care to 5,331 patients
• 15,419 Specialist Palliative homecare visits
• 569 life-enhancing infusions through our Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Disease Unit
• Dementia respite services to 139 patients
Our donors and supporters are truly at the heart of all that we do, and we are hugely grateful for their ongoing commitment and support.
