Tess McVaugh is a Los Angeles–based artist originally from Sacramento. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2017 to pursue her education and earned her MFA in ceramics in 2024. Her studio practice centers on large-scale multimedia sculpture, often incorporating furniture elements and exploring themes related to the female experience.

She currently resides in Claremont with her husband and their dog, Shelby, affectionately known as the “Official Studio Supervisor and Bestest Girl.”
