Helena B. Scott

Historian, mythologist, Jungian practitioner, linguist, spiritual teacher, and international speaker, Helena B. Scott specialises in cultural heritage, mythology, ancient wisdom, healing, archetypal and depth psychology, and the Western Esoteric Tradition. Through immersive masterclasses, lectures, and workshops, she brings together history, archaeology, mythology, psychology, symbolism, and holistic wellbeing to reveal the enduring wisdom of the past and its relevance to modern life.

Helena studied History, Law, and Anthropology before completing a Diploma in Jungian Psychology, alongside extensive training in depth and archetypal psychology (including with Laurence Hillman), shadow work, symbolism, and psychospiritual counselling. She also trained for over a decade at the London College of Psychic Studies (est.1884), where she is now a regular lecturer, and at Arthur Findlay College (UK). In 2025, she was awarded an MA (Hons) in Public History & Cultural Heritage by the University of Limerick.

Her research explores medieval history, sacred geography, mythology, symbolism, esoteric traditions, and the sacred feminine, with particular interests in the Knights Templar, Grail traditions, Norse culture, Black Madonnas, witchcraft, folklore, and ancestral archetypes. Her work seeks to recover overlooked histories and reveal their continuing relevance through the lenses of psychology, spirituality, and cultural memory.

Helena's MA research on the Knights Templar expanded the recorded history of Kilbarry Templar Preceptory and identified previously unrecorded archaeology recently confirmed by Ireland's National Monuments Service and entered into the official records under her name. In 2025 during Ireland's first ever Templar public history event organised by her and launched in Waterford, Helena received recognition of her contribution to advancing Templar historiography and was awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem (OSMTH). In 2026, she was further honoured with the Meriti Crux (Cross of Merit)—the highest distinction awarded by Sovereign Order of the Knights Templar of Saint Martin (OSTSM) —in recognition of her research and international contributions to Templar history. Conferred for meaningful service to community, culture, education, and the preservation of shared heritage, the Meriti Crux carries a significance far deeper than distinction alone. Described as a “seal of inner calling,” it is reserved for those who embody, in both work and spirit, the enduring chivalric values of dedication, charity, and loyalty; values that transcend time and continue to shape our modern world. Helena received this award in April 2026 during the International Conference of St Martin as Precursor to the Christian Knightly Orders held in Arad, Transylvania (Romania) where she was invited to lecture as the key speaker, during her research trip to Hungary and Romania.

Helena has been actively involved in cultural heritage since 2009, when her work played a pivotal role in the successful UNESCO campaign that recognised falconry as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Building on over twenty years of heritage advocacy and research, she conceived and co-founded Ireland's first public Templar history festival in 2025 as part of her MA dissertation, developed within the framework of the UNESCO Recommendation on the Historic Urban Landscape (2011).

A former member of the Egypt Exploration Society and the European Association of Archaeologists, Helena lectures internationally as well as locally, appears regularly on podcasts and in the media, and is the author of the Amazon bestselling Loftus: The Hall of Dreams on the myth behind Ireland's most haunted house and its ties the Knights Templar and Freemasonry, having discovered and mapped ley lines in this area of Ireland. Whether exploring mythology, medieval history, spirituality, or wellbeing, Helena is known for creating engaging interdisciplinary experiences that inspire curiosity, self-discovery, and a deeper appreciation of our shared cultural and spiritual heritage.
