Your Child has Autism. Those are the words no parent wants to ever hear. Now, what to do? Who do you turn to? Your world, as you knew it, has fallen apart. You are filled with so many owerwhelming emotions. Your child is not responding to typical parenting practices. Why me? Why did it happen to my child? Can I survive this? How will my family cope with this? How about my other children who are siblings to my ASD child?

​At Autism Consulting Online, Gabriela Hennigan supports and lets you know you are not alone as you deal with the impact

of your child's disability. Parents often struggle with a diverse range of emotions - hopelessness, blame, denial, bereavement, guilt, fear, depression and acceptance. This is true for all parents, whether their child was diagnosed years ago, just recently

or is awaiting the assessment.

Gabriela is a Special Education teacher and TEFL teacher registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland, an ABA therapist

and Autism Consultant. She is also a mother of a child with ASD. She personally understands the impact of autism on a family.

She knows first-hand how heartbreaking a diagnosis of autism can be for any parent and the personal struggles that often follow. But, through her personal journey, Gabriela also recognises the special joys, rewarding experiences and unique live gifts which can result from raising a child with special needs.

Your Autism Consultant's goals are to provide you with a caring, independent sounding board and serve as a coach for

you whether it is helping you to break down any concerns you have with raising a special needs child or to coach you

to deliver a parent-led home-based intervention for your child based on evidence-based methods based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis: ESDM, PRT, Self-Management, Social Skills training and Floortime by Dr. Greenspan.

Your Autism Parent Coach's comprehensive support programmes include individual coaching sessions which address

the issues and concerns that are important to your child, to you and your family. Coaching sessions are conducted

over Zoom - a secure teleconferencing platform - to give parents convenience, flexibility and privacy. Being a parent is a hard job. Raising a child with special needs is even harder.

The coaching programmes are designed to equip parents with the techniques and strategies to help their child boost social communication, social skills, learning and emotional regulation.

Coaching sessions are designed to give parents coping strategies and proven evidence-based techniques to maintain

a healthy emotional outlook.
