Kilnagleary Studios
By chance, Mick Wilkins was introduced to an old farm in a state of disrepair, Kilnagleary House in Carrigaline, Co. Cork. Seeing the space’s potential and with two years of hard work and dedication, the space has now become functioning studios and workspaces for artists of all kinds: from Sculpture, ceramics, painting & industrial design.
Our facilities can accommodate artists working from small scale to large scale public art and we provide an array of facilities from woodwork, metal work room, ceramic kilns (Electric, Raku & Pitfiring) & bronze casting facilities.
Our mission:
- To be an art space that focuses on education and connects with the local community.
- Provide private studios for artists developing their practice.
- Provide the community with an accessible event space.
Kilnagleary Studios has already greeted students from Crawford College of Art, The School of Architecture and from local colleges for workshops, hosted recognised local and nationwide artists and is attracting more and more popularity as it grows.
In the next year, the old milking parlour is to be converted into a gallery space and rehearsal & performance theatre.
Within walking distance from Carrigaline Town, and with a view of the Owenabue River, it’s a must to visit and fabulous space to get creative.
