Lucy Weir, PhD
I organise retreats in Ireland, Portugal, and Lanzarote (and am open to going to other places, especially Scotland, France, and mainland Spain). I'm a philosopher who practices yoga as an embodied philosophy, and who explores questions around how to live the right way, how do systems work, and what is 'the good' of systems. I like koans and paradoxes, and I love teaching yoga for strength and resilience, but also relaxation and visualisation, and particularly I love yoga nidra. I also practice lucid dreaming and love exploring liminality. My heart's desire is to get the ecological emergency recognised and used as a term for climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and also social and political fragmentation, and also the intra personal fragmentation of addiction, depression and the like. Yoga retreats might be one day or five day or week long and will include periods of silence, time for creativity, being in nature, asana, pranayama, meditation, and yoga nidra. We will eat together (or sometimes fast together). And we will leave having made, I hope, a profound connection.
