Oxfam Ireland has long been associated with great music thanks to Oxjam, a movement that is creating a song and dance to fight poverty and celebrates local music that makes a global impact by raising awareness for Oxfam’s life-saving work worldwide.

Over the years, Oxjam has been present at music festivals across the country, from Belsonic in Belfast to Electric Picnic in Laois, as well as at gigs, music venues, Oxfam shops and even town halls.

Oxjam showcases home-grown acts while raising money for Oxfam’s work from emergency response in places like Syria and South Sudan to long-term development projects that help people lift themselves out of poverty and campaigning that raises the voice of the vulnerable.

The Oxjam stage, in its many forms, has showcased some of the most talented up-and-coming artists as well as some well-known acts, including The Frames, Hozier, Kodaline, Paulo Nutini, Lisa Hannigan and many more.
