Barry McCormack is a seasoned adventurer. He believes in the power of nature and our connection to it.

A Naval diver, IT Professional and Regenerative Coach, Barry has navigated the military and corporate worlds over the course of the last 25 years. His experience leading & empowering teams in the Irish Navy, UN & NATO and the Corporate IT world allowed him to build his on natural coaching skills in a wide range of environments with diverse groups of people.

Barry spent more than 20 years in the military leading teams in the Irish Naval Service, UN & NATO both at home here in Ireland and abroad. Key to his success is his ability to lead teams from diverse backgrounds for a common purpose, identifying each individuals’ key skills and strengths to maximise the effectiveness of teams as a whole.

Transitioning into the corporate tech world in 2016, he embraced new challenges with the same fervour. Having spent the majority of his career coaching members of his teams, 2018 saw Barry began his academic journey into Coaching, where his passion for Regenerative Coaching became clear. In 2019, he led a team of like-minded adventurers on an expedition up Mont Blanc, rallying his colleagues to conquer new heights while raising substantial funds for Cork Simon.

A lesson from the Mont Blanc expedition for Barry was learning was that opportunities can be forged, even in the corporate realm. “I realized the power of teamwork, endurance, and resilience in fostering a sense of purpose and belonging. Our expedition not only transformed lives but also sparked a newfound vitality within our company, all while making a meaningful impact for charity."

Barry's true passion lies in reconnecting people with nature. Through Regenerative Coaching and his wild camping adventures across the rugged landscapes of the Beara and Sheepshead Peninsulas, he inspires others to find solace and strength in the great outdoors.
