Susan Bloom

I am a Master Equine Gestaltist and a lifelong horsewoman as well as have a BA in Communications. Growing up horses were my best friends and confidants. I didn’t realize they were actually sharing their healing energy with me.

I also grew up as daughter of the only doctor in a small town in western Kansas. There I married a farmer who was diagnosed with several complicated medical conditions at 54 and I was reluctantly thrown into caregiving for him. During this five-and-a-half-year journey we traveled over 57,000 miles to see doctors in Denver, CO, The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, MD Anderson in Houston, TX, and KU Med Center in Kansas City, KS.

In the last two and a half years caring for my husband I quit my job and enrolled in the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method® training. When I was about to complete this training, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2022 I became a Master Gestaltist and a Facilitator of Equine Assisted PlayShops, which are team building, leadership training, and mindfulness for groups.

The Equine Gestalt put me in the best mental place to fight breast cancer, care for and lose my husband. Little did I know when I started the EGC program what a profound impact it would bring into my life.
