The Yeats Sisters Commemoration Project

In 2022, a group was formed to establish a commemorative project that would revive and expand public knowledge and understanding of the immense achievements of Susan and Elizabeth Yeats. The aim is to re-associate the sisters with Churchtown and Dundrum, County Dublin, the place that facilitated and nurtured their most prodigious period; the place they saw as home and is their final resting place.

A principal objective is to promote public appreciation of the sisters’ pioneering ideals and values and their relevance to modern Ireland, encouraging in the process a new generation of discovery and research.
