About the Conference - Telecoms: A Changing Landscape
The conference will revolve around two sessions:
Session One: the evolving internet value chain
Themes in this session include
• The future of the internet,
• The interaction of Big Tech and ISPs,
• Evolving business models
While Irish consumers are enjoying the benefits of the digital era, there can be no doubt that the internet value chain is evolving. New platforms, content providers and device manufacturers are playing an increasingly important role in the traditional telecoms value chain. A panel of Irish and international speakers will address this issue and offer insights into the future of the internet and the possible regulatory options available.
Session Two: Essential Infrastructure – Ensuring Continuity of Supply
Themes in this session include:
• Telecoms networks as an essential infrastructure
• Investor attitudes to Telecoms Infrastructure
• Risks to supply – from Climate to Malicious Actors
Telecoms infrastructure is the enabling backbone of the digital economy. As such, the essential nature of such infrastructure has become increasingly apparent over recent years. Incentivising investment in network resilience is a new frontier in communications. This panel will discuss the challenges that lie ahead for the sector.
