GameCon 2024 is being planned by a bunch of students from West Cork Sudbury School (WCSS).

WCSS is Cork's first Democratic School of Self-directed Learning. Students are facilitated to pursue their own interests and can spend quality time really immersing themselves in their passions. For the GAMECON2024 committee that involves, among other things, playing and designing games, as well as coding and drawing. Main interests in school at the moment are board games, DnD, Warhammer, board game design, art, video games, rpgs, ccgs, anime.

The Educational Provision at West Cork Sudbury School is assessed by Tusla Alternative Education Assessment and Registration Service and children attending are eligible for registration, as in receipt of an education, under Section 14 the Education (Welfare) Act, 2000.
