This workshop is beneficial for those working in the community, voluntary or statutory sector in demanding, high pressure or stressful environments. It may also be useful to people who are caring for others or people who feel over-whelmed with their ‘busy’ life. During this one day workshop we will explore what self-care means as well as other commonly used concepts like burnout and resilience. This workshop will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to employ self-care techniques in their lives. It aims to help participants identify ways to prevent or reduce stress by developing their coping strategies and implementing a self-care plan. Thoughout this interactive workshop, Ger will create a supportive environment to explore this challenging topic with participants, while providing practical examples of self-care implementation applicable to all our lives.
