Event description
Tor to Dunlewy - Crocknafarragh (517m) and Crockglass (489m) 4-5 hours

About this Event

Crocknafarragh is the prominent mountain that rises steeply to the east of the Owenator River which marks the eastern boundary of the Rosses. Seldom climbed, it provides a fantastic vantage point of the Derryveagh Mountains and beyond. Our walk will begin at the scenic waterfall in Tor and on our way to the summit we will visit an old bothy site where people would have taken animals in the summer, a common practice in the past. From the summit we will follow the ridge to Crockglass and descend into Dunlewy via the cascade of Sruhanameel. A good level of fitness and walking boots are necessary.

Bus pick up from the Ionad Teampall Chroine at 9.15 am SHARP

Ticket includes transport plus refreshments afterwards.
