A day of mindful Yoga, breathing practices, movement and relaxation to connect you with the 5 elements of Yoga: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space
These 5 elements are traditionally used in Tantra Yoga and Yoga therapy to connect us to the 5 layers of our being: Physical, mental, emotional and energetic bodies, alongside our inner wisdom and capacity to connect to joy.
We will explore movements and meditations connecting to each of the elements, and spend time outdoors in the beautiful 30 acre nature reserve at An Sanctoir, exploring embodied connection with the elements and our senses.
Facilitated by Claire Osborne:
I'm a Yoga and Movement teacher, and Yoga Therapist, based in the wilds of South West Ireland. I've been following my passion for exploring well-being and awareness through the body, mind and heart for the past 28 years by studying many forms of Yoga, Movement, dance and body work therapies. With well over 10,000 hours of teaching experience I am registered with the IYN as a Yoga Elder. Presently i am studying an MA in Art Psychotherapy. As well as classes, one-to-one work, retreats, trainings and workshops, I'm a Yoga Therapy advisor and teacher trainer for the Yoga Mandala Project. I am also an artist, writer and gardener, and love to hang out with my dog and wander the lane-ways, beaches and hillsides of the wonderfully restorative and inspiring landscape of West Cork.
I hope my work can offer you the opportunity to move towards a more empowered and positive experience of life, through connecting with body, mind, heart, spirit and the natural world.
