During this ‘retreat’/workshop, experienced practitioners Rachel Dempsey and Paula Murphy will come together to provide a unique opportunity for participants to explore the relationship between voice and body. Participants will be guided in an exploration of vocal sound, freeing the voice and experiencing how sound vibrates and resonates in the body. In parallel they will also be led in mindful engagements with movement and the senses to bring a deeper sense of presence in the body as it finds voice. While sounding and moving we will be mindful of the precarious and dangerous passage of refugees around the world at this time, and celebrate their resistance, courage and cultures.
